AM: Ergonomics

While researching ergonomics, I found an invaluable article specifically on school furniture for primary school aged children (5-10 years old). It lists in a chart the ideal heights, widths and angles for both a school desk and a chair. Conveniently, the chart displays the 50th percentile values for each dimension.

Crucial dimensions I shall utilise are:

Seat surface height - 35.2cm

Seat surface width - 38cm

Seat surface depth - 37cm

Seat surface angle - 3 - 5 degrees

Back support length - 30cm

Back support width - 40cm

Back support angle - 100-105 degrees

Desk surface height - 64cm
