I managed to find myself a full sheet of Omnipanel hidden in class, which will save me a trip down to Hamilton! On top of it a drew up a pair of my leg insert concepts to get another gauge on the scale. I was pretty stoked with it, and I'll keep them that size.

I also began thinking about how I was going to make my legs. I made a trip to see a local wood turner, and somewhat disappointingly, he didn't have the tools to cut thread, nor knew anyone who could, despite several phone calls. I didn't imagine it would be an issue! Then I had the idea of buying a set of those bed legs with the thread cut in them....cutting that bit out, and gluing it into a table leg of my design, which will be easily doable. That will be a good back up plan. But before committing to that idea, I called around a few other wood turners, and found someone who can cut thread! Im going to see them tomorrow to discuss my options. Id far prefer a leg with thread on it, but if i need to make the leg and thread separately and then join them....so be it.
