A new semester, but the same project! The same....but better (hopefully). I've chosen to have a second go at my school furniture + material reuse brief. I feel it is a hugely worthy pursuit, with both environmental and social benefits. I feel my first iteration was an excellent proof of concept, but it left huge room for further improvement and refinement, especially regarding its niche in the market and the manufacturing considerations. I began to form a list of things I need to know.

From education providers (customers):

- Student requirements.....both functional and ergonomic.

- What sizes are required? Should there be different models.....or adjustable?

- How is furniture selected for a classroom? What criteria must it meet before a decision is made?

- How much does the competition cost?

- What am I offering......what should I offer?

From Action Manufacturing (supplier + client):

- What are your most common, or regular sized offcuts?

- How much time could you allocate to this waste reduction project?

- Tooling sizes and tolerance.

These are the things I need to know before designing a re-iterated school table and seating set. I shall ascertain this info through interviews and contact with both client and customer.
