Semester 2: Rough prototypes

I've chosen two concepts to carry on with, and constructed a rough concept of one of them this morning. I used wood off cuts to build a prototype of my die-cast alloy drop in design, and it allowed me to test the stability and strength of my concept.

Nothing fancy! Just a really quick mock up to test the idea!

Even with my fairly loose tolerances, the concept proved to be very durable and supportive. Following this test, I'll 3D print a near production ready iteration to show Action Manufacturing at a concept critiquing session in the coming weeks. But for now, I'll work on constructing a second prototype model of a different leg solution.
