I googled 'c-clamp' to see how the clamping tools were built strong enough to withstand high clamping force. I then tried my luck googling 'c-clamp table leg'.....and lo and behold.....there already exists some refined versions of what I propose......much like my last cancelled concept. I spoke to a lecturer, who assured me that there will always be someone whos 'done it first', and that as long as your iteration is sufficiently different in look or construction, it qualifies as unique. Fair call, but it doesn't sit right with me. These existing option are nicely made and look really good. I'd only be able to offer a lower cost alternative. I'll talk it over with my lecturers, but I feel that this development can only point my towards my 'drop in' table leg attachment.
